- Our Thoughts after surfing it: It was a blast. A little thicker than what we're used to in a shortboard this size, but we think you'll immediately be thankful for it when you feel how quick and easy it is to paddle out. This added volume didn't seem to cause a decrease in performance though, we had a great time riding it. We surfed it in 3'-5' waves that had both softer and pitchy sections, and this handled both the mushy takeoffs (thank you extra volume), and the later steep takeoffs (thank you rocker) well. Stable, responsive, and drivey down the line, we were surprised when she loosed up a little during some turns. At first the 2+trailer we found to be fairly predictable like a thruster setup, nothing to write home about at least; but when the waves turned on we found it started to loosen up quite a bit, and we really had some fun.
