LOML 50:50 — Twin Fin 5050 CORE

Fin #01 from Estefi Hotton, Mid Fin Co.’s resident artist, and the opening piece in her series LiNES of my Life (QUILLAS PA`LA VIDA — “fins for life”). Estefi is a surfer, artist, and writer from San Bernardo del Tuyú, Argentina, who has been painting her own fins since her very first board. “I’m from the barrio to the beach.”

The 5050 CORE is inspired by the Earth’s core — “the core where all begins, in the center of art, design, and the surf passion.” Its hand-inked hatching reads two ways at once: the strata of the planet in cross-section, and the lines of energy the ocean sends down the horizon. It starts at the core.

Like every Mid Fin piece, these are functional art — made to be ridden hard and admired up close.
